The Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, this Thursday morning left for Riyadh to personally enquire about the health of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia and also to convey good wishes and prayers of the people and the Government of Pakistan for His Majesty’s early recuperation, good health and long life, reported local media. The Prime Minister is also expected to perform Umrah and go to Masjid-e-Nabwi according to news by the local media.

Dunya News further reported that during his visit, the Prime Minister will also hold talks with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. Both the parties are expected to exchange views for further enhancing brotherly relations between the two countries in all areas of mutual interest, including economic relations, defence and security cooperation, increasing of manpower from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia and regional and international issues, according to the statement issued by the Foreign Office in Islamabad.

This is the third high level contact within a period of a year between the two countries which shows the strong bond towards the two countries and excellent co-operation. The strong bond between the Prime Minister and the Saudi government had developed while Nawaz Sharif was in exile and had chosen Saudi Arabia for that period.
