This Sunday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), under the chairmanship of Imran Khan, held its ‘Dharna Convention’ which included all supporters and workers who had supported Imran Khan during his more than 3 month long sit-in in Islamabad. The sit-in was to pressurize government to conduct investigation regarding the rigging that took place in the 2013 elections.
The cricketer turned politician Imran Khan announced that he will utilize all his energy in building a new Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to make it a model province for those who want to see a ‘Naya Pakistan’. He added that starting from this Monday; the KP government will plant 1000 more trees in the province. Apart from that he also informed the PTI workers that the K-P government is now going to ensure that clean drinking water is available to every inhabitant of the province. He also added that elections will be held in the province to shift powers to the grass-root level of the province.
Pakistan Tribune further informed that PTI’s reiterated the demand of the formation of an independent and empowered judicial commission to probe rigging in May 2013’s general elections, saying the he will bring the entire country to standstill if their demand is not fulfilled. Explaining further the national hero announced that he was going impose shutter-down in the country but now the government has done that themselves by creating petrol shortage in the country.
