Lily Ahluwalia’s first short film I DO. DO I? bags the Remi Gold Award at the 43rd WorldFest-Houston Independent International Film Festival

About Time Productions is delighted to announce that I DO. DO I? – a short romantic comedy won the prestigious Remi Gold Award in its category at the 43rd WorldFest-Houston Independent International Film Festival. Directed by Lily Ahluwalia, the film, a 30-minute Romantic Comedy has been written, co-directed and edited by Jay Walia. The music has been composed by Vikas Kohli of Fatlabs.
 
When informed of the success of her very first independent film, a much moved Ahluwalia said, "I am deeply touched to be given the REMI Award by the WorldFest Houston International Film Festival. It is great to be acknowledged by such a long standing institution, which has in the past, honoured great directors as Spielberg, Lucas and Ang Lee with their first awards. I am very humbled to be given the honour and hope to follow in the footsteps of these phenomenal film-makers. I share this award with the entire team of “I Do. Do I?” who has put its heart and soul into this film.”
 
Set in Canada, I DO. DO I? is about Raj, who, on the eve of his engagement to Priya has second thoughts. He is not at all sure if he is ready for marriage and commitment. Playing the lead role of Raj is Siddhant (Sid) Sawant, a Drama Major from Cawthra Park High School, currently pursuing a degree in Philosophy at York University. Priya is played by Uppekha Jain, the 2008 Miss India Worldwide. The film was entirely shot in Mississauga, Ontario with a cast and crew of over 30 local artists.
 
About Time Productions was launched in 2005 to produce Lily Ahluwalia’s first independent venture since graduating from film studies at Ryerson University. Shawn and Ron Ahluwalia form the backbone of the company, working on finance, logistics, and resource management.
