Immigration consultant Kishorbha Patel of Indo-Overseas Management Group charged with fraud

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with a fraud investigation.

It is alleged that:

– the accused is the owner of Indo-Overseas Management Group, also known as IOMG Inc. or IOMG Canada,

– the accused targets college and university students who seek assistance with the immigration process,

– he advertises his services in the South Asian community newspapers and over the Internet,

– he promises to provide services to new immigrants and demands an up-front fee,

– once the accused receives the fee, he does little or no work and cuts off any communication with the victims,

– he creates the impression he is a legitimate immigration consultant, paralegal and/or lawyer,

– he is not licensed with the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants or the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Kishorbha Patel, 38, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Fraud Under,
2) three counts of Fraud Over.

The accused was scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, room 101, at 10 a.m.

Police believe there may be other victims.

  2. This person hanging me for around 1 year almost by saying everything is done, doing tomorrow, meeting today but as of now nothing happened. This person representing so many school, college, insurance and taking money on behalf of them but doing nothing. please do take un urgent action. please please. I am dealing with a life which is my mom to help me out, i already pacomment_ID so much money. This person hanging with so many women’s whoever seeking for help. Taking an advance.   4. these two have conned so many people out of their life savings. they promised to get immigration visas and study at SHARMISHTHA JOSHIS so called school AS400.. computer training but never materialized.. Sharmishtha Joshi and her family are all involved in very shady business practices including shifting monies .. i saw many cases here online which involve her .. check out DR ALVI case of trading under her accts with a number of aliases involving her siblings … etc sSHE NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED THOROUGHLY BY REVENUE CANADA , THE POLICE AND CSIS.. I HOPE THE POLICE SEE THIS POST….

  5. This disgusting individual is still preying on vulnerable people in the GTA. He goes by Patel, as well as Kishorbha, Kishor, and Kishore. He is still up to his tricks, demanding money upfront, and then avoiding contact by pretending it’s in the process whenever asked. He solely communicates through text message, and needs to be deported for his crimes.

  7. Mr Kishor Patel is the best … I have been working with him for over 15 years , needless to say he and our team has worked in the best interested  of Indian community.  Easy to post on media. Peoples were punished who pointed finger on his credibility … Kishor Patel is gem of our community.
