Swar Sadhana Music Club, A Non-profit Organisation, has organised a Live Contest to search an Indian Vocal talents in GTA. 20 contestants were selected form series of primary auditions at Brampton, Scarborough and Mississauga. There are seven elimination rounds in total. The first elimination round is completed on Sunday, January 18, 2009 in which 19 contestants presented Indian Patriotic Songs. The program started with a wonderful dance on Vande Mataram sung by Sonal Vala and choreographed by Mamta Bhavsar by Students and faculties of Swar Sadhana Music School. The highlight of the show was the dance by girls from Nritya Kala Mandir, a Scarborough based dance school. The event was hosted by Jay Bhavsar and Jenny Thakore.

The city councillor Mr. Vicky Dhillon had been kind enough to grace the occasion as chief guest. Vickyji was very impressed with the theme and cause and strongly requested to the organizers to avoid any eliminations in the first round. The audience and all the contestants agreed and thank Vickyji for his kindness. Now, the elimination will take place from second round.
