Ottawa SenatorsThe Ottawa Senators on Wednesday re-assigned defenceman Mark Borowiecki and forward Andre Petersson to the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.
Borowiecki, 22, was recalled for the first time in his pro career on Jan. 17 and made his National Hockey League debut two nights later in a 4-1 Senators win in San Jose. In two games with Ottawa, he registered two penalty minutes. The Ottawa native has recorded 15 points (three goals,12 assists) while adding 76 penalty minutes in 42 games for Binghamton during his first full professional season.
A native of Olofstrom, Sweden, Petersson, 21, was also recalled for the first time on Jan. 17 and made his NHL debut on Jan. 21 in Ottawa's 2-1 loss at Anaheim. He currently ranks third among the B-Sens with 25 points (12 goals, 13 assists) in 30 AHL games this season.
The B-Sens next see action when they host the Albany Devils on Friday at 7:05 p.m.
