Canada BasketballThe Canadian Senior “B” Team put in a great fourth quarter effort, to come back from a seven point deficit and tie Team Belgium, 66-66. The game ended in regulation, with no overtime being played.

“We are progressing and improving every game. There were bright spots, but we lacked focus on transition defense and turned the ball over. That will inhibit success at any level,” said head coach Fabian McKenzie. “We were down seven in the fourth quarter and we battled hard. In that way, the girls put in a great effort.”

“We had ups and downs as a team,” said Canadian guard Justine Colley (East Preston, NS). “We struggled at times, but we didn’t give up or back down. We need to focus on transition defense and stop easy buckets.”

The Canadians will play Team Belgium on Saturday and play their final game of their summer schedule on Sunday.
