Part-time off-spinner Roston Chase has taken eight wickets as the West Indies clinched a resounding victory over England in the first Test in Barbados.

Chase, given the chance to shine in the absence of a specialist spinner in the line-up, seized the opportunity with a career-best haul of 8-60 at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown on Saturday (Sunday NZT).

West Indies bowled out England for 246 in the second innings.

They won by 381 runs with more than a day to spare.
