Brian Burke, President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Wednesday that the hockey club has assigned forward Nazem Kadri and defenceman Keith Aulie to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.
Kadri, 21, has appeared in 19 games with the Maple Leafs this season, registering four goals and two assists for six points with eight penalty minutes and a plus-three (+3) rating. The 6-0, 188-pound native of London, Ontario, has also posted 22 points (eight goals, 14 assists) with 16 penalty minutes in 22 games with the Marlies in 2011-12.
Aulie, 22, has collected one assist and 16 penalty minutes in 15 games with the Maple Leafs this season. The 6-6, 217-pound native of Rouleau, Saskatchewan, has also appeared in 15 games with the Marlies in 2011-12, registering 17 penalty minutes.
The Marlies are back in action on Friday night (Feb. 3) at 7:30 p.m. when they visit the Syracuse Crunch, AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, at War Memorial at Oncenter. The Marlies next home game is on Saturday, February 4 at 5:00 p.m. when they host the Abbotsford Heat.
