Brian Burke, President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Thursday that the hockey club has signed forward and 2011 first-round draft choice Tyler Biggs to a three-year entry level contract.

Biggs, 19, played this past season for the Miami University (Ohio) RedHawks of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. In 37 games with the RedHawks, the Loveland, Ohio native registered nine goals, eight assists and 17 points with 63 penalty minutes. The 6-3, 210-pound right-winger ranked second on Miami in penalty minutes.
