Toronto Maple Leafs cut 17 more players from training camp

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Sunday that 17 players have been reduced from their training camp roster.

The following players were assigned to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League (AHL):

Goalies: Jussi Rynnas, Ben Scrivens
Defencemen : Keith Aulie, Mike Brennan (PTO Loaned to Marlies), Simon Gysbers, Korbinian Holzer, Juraj Mikus
Forwards : Jerry D’Amigo, Brayden Irwin, Marcel Mueller, Greg Scott, Robert Slaney

The following four players were assigned to their junior clubs:

Jesse Blacker – (Owen Sound)
Sam Carrick – (Brampton)
Andrew Crescenzi – (Kitchener)
Brad Ross – (Portland)

Forward Wayne Primeau was released from his Pro Tryout Agreement. The Maple Leafs current training camp roster now has three goalies, 10 defencemen, and 17 forwards.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will continue their preseason schedule tomorrow by hosting the Buffalo Sabres at Air Canada Centre. Game time is 7 p.m.
