Ashton Tallies Twice; MacIntyre Stops 36 of 37

The Toronto Marlies defeated the Texas Stars by a score of 3-1 tonight at the Cedar Park Center in game six of the Western Conference Final. With the win, the best-of-seven series is now tied 3-3.

Toronto would open the scoring for a 13th consecutive game when Carter Ashton notched his third goal of the playoffs. The Marlies would extend their lead at 2:28 of the middle frame when captain Trevor Smith recorded a power play tally. Toronto would open up a 3-0 lead in the last minute of the second period when Carter Ashton scored his second goal of the game off an odd man rush with Spencer Abbott. Curtis McKenzie scored the lone Texas goal on a power play late in the third period.

Game seven of the Western Conference Final will be played tomorrow night at the Cedar Park Center in Austin.
