Buffalo SabresThe Buffalo Sabres today announced that the team has acquired left wing Jordan Samuels-Thomas from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Samuels-Thomas (6’3”, 195 lbs., 5/28/90) appeared in 34 games in his second season at Quinnipiac University during the 2013-14 season, compiling 29 points (13+16) and 46 penalty minutes. In four seasons with Quinnipiac and Bowling Green State University, he has totaled 104 points (50+54) and 162 penalty minutes in 138 NCAA games.

A native of West Hartford, Connecticut, Samuels-Thomas was selected by the Atlanta Thrashers in the seventh round (203rd overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
