David Nonis, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Tuesday that the hockey club has recalled Josh Leivo from the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies.

Leivo, 21, has appeared in two games with the Maple Leafs so far this season collecting one goal and two penalty minutes. Leivo has also skated in eight regular season games with the Marlies registering four points (one goal, three assists) and nine penalty minutes. The Innisfil, Ontario native made his NHL debut with the Maple Leafs on October 10, 2013 against the Nashville Predators and has played nine career NHL games.

The Toronto Marlies continue their eight-game road trip on Friday night when they travel to Rochester (AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres), while the Maple Leafs get set to host the Boston Bruins at 8 p.m. tomorrow night.
