The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Monday that the hockey club has reassigned Josh Leivo to the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies.

Leivo, 21, has skated in eight regular season games with the Maple Leafs so far this season, collecting one goal and four penalty minutes. The Innisfil, Ontario native has also appeared in eight regular season games with the Marlies, registering four points (one goal, three assists) and nine penalty minutes.

The Toronto Marlies will travel to Adirondack (AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames) on Wednesday night for a 7:30 p.m. game, while the Maple Leafs also return to the ice on Wednesday night in Pittsburgh.
