Brian Burke, President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Tuesday that forward Joey Crabb has been recalled from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

Crabb, 27, has played in 23 games for the Marlies and currently leads the team with nine goals. He has also added three assists along with 16 penalty minutes. The Anchorage, Alaska native previously played in the NHL for Atlanta in the 2008-09 season, during which he skated in 29 games and collected nine points (four goals, five assists) with 28 minutes in penalties.

The Leafs signed the 6-1, 190-pound forward as a free agent on July 1, 2010. He was originally the New York Rangers’ seventh choice, selected 226th overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

The Toronto Marlies next game is on Friday, December 3 when they host the Abbotsford Heat at 7 p.m. at Ricoh Coliseum.
