On Saturday August 18 2012 West Bromwich Albion is taking on Liverpool at the Hawthorns. With no major changes likely to crop up, as well as no injury problems West Brom has a full-strength squad to choose from and will be looking to stay into a regular line-up.

Liverpool goes into the match having won their last three games, two from Gomel and their final pre-season game with Bayer Leverkusen. However, in their three friendly matches before that they failed to have a victory, drawing to Tottenham and Toronto while losing to Roma.The Liverpool line up likely to play include: Pepe Reina: Glen Johnson, Martin Skrtel, Daniel Agger, Jose Enrique;Lucas; Joe Allen, Steven Gerrard;Stewart Downing, Fabio Borini, Luis Suarez.
West Brom has enjoyed a good pre-season and has a number of players competent of distressing Liverpool team. However, as long as the Reds stay solid at the back, they could control ownership and have too much attacking quality players for their opponents.
In last season’s two Premier League encounters between the sides, Liverpool recorded a 2-0 victory at the Hawthorns in October, prior to it West Brom won 1-0 at Anfield in April.
