The first ODI encounter between Bangladesh and West Indies will be played at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna on Nov 30, 2012. The match will start at 09:00 local (3:00 GMT).

The West Indians have so far dominated their tour of Bangladesh, they won the test series 2-0 and now move onto the ODI’s where they will play a few matches in Khulna. West Indies are hoping Ravi Rampaul recovers from injury but they are expected to go with one pacer in Kemar Roach and three all-rounders. Chris Gayle didn’t perform reamrkably during the tests but he is a limited overs specialists so the ODI’s will be a good chance for Gayle to score some runs. The likely West Indian squad will include: 1 Chris Gayle, 2 Lendl Simmons, 3 Dwayne Smith, 4 Marlon Samuels, 5 Darren Bravo, 6 Kieron Pollard, 7 Darren Sammy, 8 Devon Thomas, 9 Andre Russell, 10 Sunil Narine, 11 Kemar Roach.

Bangladesh will dearly miss Shakib Al Hasan who is ruled out and they have picked the uncapped Mominul Haque to replace Shakib in the middle order with little expectations. Abdur Razzak will have a lot to do since there is no Shakib Al Hasan and Razzak will need to keep things tight because the West Indies have several batsmen who can score runs quickly. The probable Bangladesh lineup will include: 1 Tamim Iqbal, 2 Anamul Haque, 3 Jahurul Islam, 4 Naeem Islam, 5 Mahmudullah, 6 Mushfiqur Rahim, 7 Nasir Hossain, 8 Mashrafe Mortaza, 9 Sohag Gazi, 10 Abdur Razzak, 11 Rubel Hossain.

The weather is expected to be perfect with mild temperatures throughout the day that drops further after the sun sets.
