After a thrilling opening ODI match, Pakistan and South Africa will face each other in 2nd ODI match at St George’s Park, Port Elizabeth on Wednesday.

Pakistan finally have a chance to play incredibly and grab an opportunity to win their first ever one-day series against South Africa. They just require one out of two games in order to do so. Pakistan weren’t that much convincing at Newlands on Sunday, as they fell to 131-7 before South Africa allowed them to make it to 218-9 as South Africa leaked runs in the last 10 overs. In those 10 overs, bowlers conceded double digits twice—something they had not done once in the match before. Pakistan have gained the momentum and need to keep it in this game as well to remain in full control. The likely Pakistan lineup will include: Misbah-ul-Haq, Mohammad Hafeez, Ahmed Shehzad, Umar Akmal (wk), Umar Amin, Shahid Afridi, Sohaib Maqsood, Sohail Tanvir, Bilawal Bhatti, Anwar Ali, Junaid Khan.

On the other hand, the hosts are under immense pressure to win two games for a series win. South Africa missed the control of Lonwabo Tsotsobe and Ryan McLaren. Also, Dale Steyn may not play all the one-day games since he has to be fit for their upcoming Test summer. That might mean that there are a few changes to the team, Vernon Philander could make way for McLaren while Steyn could be dropped out for Tsotsobe. Whether the match is shortened or not due to bad weather, South Africa’s top and middle order will have to come up with some solid plan. They struggled to chase just a target of 219 with small partnerships on Sunday with just two players—Jacques Kallis and JP Duminy—crossing the 20-run mark. The probable South African squad will include: AB de Villiers, Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock, JP Duminy, Imran Tahir, Jacques Kallis, Ryan McLaren, David Miller, Morne Morkel, Wayne Parnell, Vernon Philander, Graeme Smith, Dale Steyn, Lonwabo Tsotsobe.
