It used to make or break a motorcycle manufacturer’s reputation. It used to be the biggest thing among motorcyclists. Nowadays, it’s buried somewhere in the FIM events calendar, almost completely forgotten in favor of some newer and bigger competitions. But still the International Six Days Enduro, or the International Six Days Trial as it used to be called, is on helluva motorcycle fiesta.

The ISDE is a competition of national teams, each consisting of several country’s best riders. It is held all over the world, but every year the venue is changed. This 2012 edition is held in Germany, for the first time in the last 23 years.

After the first day, France is leading in the World Trophy class with Antoine Meo, Rodrig Thain, Johnny Aubert, Pierre-Alexandre Renet, Christophe Nambotin and Sebastien Guillaume. Following are Australia and Finland. In the Junior World Trophy the leaders are Italy with Thomas Oldrati, Gianluca Martini, Nicoli Mori, Rudy Moroni. Second and third are Great Britain and Australia.

In the women’s departments things are not much different with France holding the lead and Australia and Germany following. As far as Manufacturers go, the leader is, surprise, surprise, KTM. Husqvarna is second, then KTM third again.
