All Blacks coach Steve Hansen said Ireland was the world’s best after stunning the reigning world champions and long-time world No 1 team in Dublin.

Jacob Stockdale’s second-half try was ultimately the difference as Ireland, the world No 2, prevented the All Blacks from crossing the whitewash for the first time since their 24-21 defeat against the British and Irish Lions in last year’s second test in Wellington.

New Zealand will benefit from losing to Ireland for the second time in three meetings between the two nations.

New Zealand is still the best team in the world and they are the favourites for next year’s World Cup.”
