The winner of tomorrow’s UEFA Champions League final in Madrid is primed to earn over 30 million euros alone in revenues from the tournament.

Both finalists, Italian Serie A club Inter Milan and German Bundesliga side Bayern Munich, have already made 20.4 million euros each, excluding their share of UEFA’s media and commercial pool, according to a study by Spanish sports consultancy Prime Time Sport.

The winner of the final will earn 9 million euros and the runner-up 5.2 million euros. Inter and Bayern will also receive an allocation of the tournament’s commercial revenues and the broadcasting rights money, which is distributed according to the value of the TV market in the each club’s country.

Despite losing the final to Spanish La Liga side Barcelona, Premier League club Manchester United was the highest earner last season, with 38.3 million, due to the size of England’s TV market.
