Twitter Opened Porn Floodgate

By Stephen Pate – I was surprised this morning while browsing Twitter to find story after story with soft and hard-core porn pictures, along with sleazy dating sites.

What’s with that?

The change from no porn to lots of porn happened between 3 AM and 9 AM. At 3 AM there was no porn on my phone and at 9 AM there was tons of it. I’m not talking boobs. This is hard-core stuff like three-way penetration in full glorious detail.

Presumably if people want that content, they don’t need Twitter shoving it down their throats.

Cross checking my iPad had no porn – thank you Apple for decency standards.

On Windows Phone and Windows 8.1 its enough to make you sick, unless you like that sort of stuff for every 2nd or 3rd post. Both Windows and Windows Phone use Internet Explorer 11.

Over on Google Chrome, it’s the same story.

What gives Twitter? I could not find a switch to turn off the porn. The only solution I can find is to Mute or Block / Report each offending post.

Since the trash is coming in like a flood it will either be a busy day of blocking or get off Twitter for awhile.

The feature image was edited to keep porn spam from flooding this site and to ensure we are considered safe for work.

Update – by noon something happened and the porn feed is gone. I did send this to Twitter and blocked/muted a few accounts. Whatever that was.
