On February 20th, 2010 at approximately 8:15 a.m. a taxi picked up a fair in the 300 block of Aberdeen Avenue. After a short distance the male passenger produced a knife and demanded money from the driver. Driver sustained a minor injury and the suspect fled on foot.

On February 21st, 2010 at approximately 6:30 a.m. a taxi picked up a fair in the 300 block of Alfred Avenue. After a short distance the male passenger produced a knife and demanded money from the driver. The driver was uninjured and the suspect fled on foot.

As previously released, on Wednesday, August 4th, 2010, at approximately 5:45 a.m. Winnipeg Police Service Uniform Members responded to the area of Selkirk Avenue and Salter Street regarding a robbery that had just occurred involving a taxi cab driver.

Upon arrival, officers located the 46 year old male victim who related that a suspect male had robbed him of an undisclosed amount of cash. City of Winnipeg Paramedics attended and subsequently transported the victim to the hospital in stable condition suffering from a stab wound to his lower body.

After a lengthy investigation by members of Division 13 Crime Unit police arrested:

27 yr old Ian Wade THOMPSON of Winnipeg. Thompson was charged with Robbery x 3 and Possess Weapon x 3.
