Not much time right now to comment on the situation in Gaza, but I thought I’d share this bit of information.

As per CNN, the White House put out a statement regarding the attack:

"White House spokesman Bill Burton said Monday regarding the incident with the Gaza-bound flotilla, "The United States deeply regrets the loss of life and njuries sustained and is currently working to understand the circumstances surrounding this tragedy."

Shortly thereafter, as per Globe & Mail article, the Harper government released a statement of their own:

In Ottawa, the Prime Minister’s Office said it is examining the situation.

"Canada deeply regrets the loss of life and the injuries suffered," Dimitri Soudas, the Prime Minister’s spokesman, said. "We are currently looking for more information in order to shed light on what exactly happened."

In other news, Stephen Harper is looking into what Barack Obama is having for lunch today, so he can follow suit.
