The Queer Songbook Orchestra presents Roasted Chestnuts, an Annual Holiday Fundraiser
Heralded a “superb ensemble” by NOW magazine, Toronto’s queer and allied chamber pop orchestra present their 2nd annual holiday fundraiser. This night will feature a number of guest singers, as well as storytellers from the community sharing tales of personal queer experience in relation to the holidays. All proceeds from this night will go to support Rainbow Railroad in their efforts to assist LGBTQ people from around the world escape violence and persecution.
The Queer Songbook Orchestra are a Toronto based 11-piece chamber pop ensemble of queer and allied musicians, dedicated to exploring the LGBTQ backstories and personal narratives in pop music. Building a living archive of songs which acknowledges the contributions of LGBTQ artists, the QSO explore the unifying and empowering elements of music.
