Ira Levin’s wickedly clever and funny thriller, which ran for more than 4 years in its original Broadway production and was nominated for a 1978 Tony Award for Best Play, tells the story of a successful playwright whose collaboration with a college student leads him into a web of deceit. Containing numerous twists and turns and more than a few scares, Deathtrap became a 1982 movie with Michael Caine and Christopher Reeve.
