A young woman with a promising future is caught up in a random act of violence in The Center of the Universe, an inspirational play about prejudice, tolerance, and racism. Featuring a cast of ethnically diverse young actors, the drama for teen-agers presented by Phantom Projects weaves recent events with scenes about slavery and the Holocaust to create an unforgettable message about the value of human life. The performance, directed by Steve Cisneros, will conclude with an open-forum, audience interactive discussion about the role of today’s youth in combating racism and other tragic acts of intolerance.
