Everlast: “What It’s Like” Singer at The Canyon

Everlast plays a show at The Canyon in Agoura Hills. A protege of rap legend Ice-T, the man born Erik Schrody first found fame as a member of House of Pain, recording the hit song “Jump Around.” As a solo artist, Everlast has blended hip-hop, rock and country influences to form a unique, deeply personal sound. His 1998 album Whitey Ford Sings the Blues went triple-platinum, and contained his biggest hit, “What It’s Like.” Everlast’s other hit singles include “Ends,” “Black Jesus” and “White Trash Beautiful,” and he won a Grammy for “Put Your Lights On,” his collaboration with Santana.
