The hills of Santa Clarita are alive with The Sound of Music! This faithful adaptation of one of the most beloved and enduring musicals of all time features a live orchestra accompanying memorable Rodgers & Hammerstein melodies like “Favorite Things,” “Edelweiss,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” and the titular “The Sound of Music.” Loosely based on the incredible true story of the von Trapp family, the lavish production by the Santa Clarita Regional Theatre follows a high-spirited governess who cares for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain, and must escape with the family over the mountains to Switzerland on the brink of World War II.
