One of the most inventive and acclaimed contemporary dance troupes in the country, the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet has been hailed by The New York Times as "a breath of fresh air." The dozen dancers of ASFB bring a combination of great technique and explosive energy to their diverse and accessible programs, drawn from a sophisticated contempo-classical repertoire that includes more than 20 specially-commissioned pieces by acclaimed choreographers like Jorma Elo, Moses Pendleton and many more. Founded in 1990 by longtime Aspenite Bebe Schweppe, the company performs in both Aspen and Santa Fe, not to mention internationally and at the famed Kennedy Center in New York.
