KTC launched its inaugural Playlab with the idea of bringing new works of Los Angeles playwrights to fruition in a series of world premieres. The caveat for the writers was that they must start with brand new material and be willing to discuss their developing ideas with the rest of the group. The 12-month process produced seven new plays and culminates in the fully staged performances to be held during LAb Works 2012.
