Singer-songwriter Gotye (as in Jean-Paul Gaultier) had one of the biggest hit singles of 2011 and early 2012 with “Somebody That I Used to Know,” which not only scored him a spot at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, but also led to an appearance on Saturday Night Live. The show hilariously parodied the song’s video, which is said to be in the Top 10 most-seen clips of all time on YouTube. Meanwhile, the song itself — off his third album Making Mirrors — made it to The Voice, American Idol and Glee. The Belgian-Australian pop star, born Wouter “Wally” De Backer, is also one-third of Melbourne indie-pop greats The Basics. Gotye will be joined by fellow Aussie solo artist Jonti and synthpop duo Chairlift.
