On Saturday, August 18, 2012, the 7th Annual “A Midsummer Night’s Run” will take place in Toronto. The event will consists of 30-, 15- and 5-kilometre runs, as well as a Family 5K event.

Organizers are anticipating 3,000 participants.

Road closures will run between Saturday, August 18, 2012, at 6 a.m., and Sunday, August 19, 2012, at 6 a.m.

Full road closure:

– Bouchette Street, Lake Shore Boulevard East to Commissioners Street

30-km run route will start at 5:30 p.m.

Formation Area:

– Bouchette Street, Lake Shore Boulevard East to Commissioners Street

Start line: southbound on Bouchette Street,

– Westbound on Commissioners Street, (Half roadway – all westbound lanes)
– Northbound on Munition Street, (Half roadway- all northbound lanes)
– Eastbound on Villiers Street (south side)
– U-turn at Don Roadway
– Westbound on Villiers Street (north side)
– Southbound on Cherry Street (to Cherry Beach)
– Eastbound along the Martin Goodman Trail
– U-turn at bridge on Unwin Avenue (use pedestrian bridge)
– Westbound on Unwin Avenue (north side)
– Northbound on Cherry Street (utilize Martin Goodman Trail on east side)
– Eastbound on Commissioners Street (Half roadway – all eastbound lanes)
– Southbound on Leslie Street (Half roadway – all southbound lanes)
– Southbound on Spit Road – Tommy Thompson Park (southbound lane)
– U-turn at lighthouse
– Northbound on Spit Road – Tommy Thompson Park (northbound lane)
– Northbound on Leslie Street (Off roadway – utilize Martin Goodman Trail)

Cut-off location:

– Leslie Street & Commissioners Street (18.2 km), at 8:50 p.m.

Runners will not be allowed to continue. Divert to westbound on Commissioners Only.

– Eastbound on Martin Goodman Trail to Coxwell Avenue
– Cutoff location: Ashbridge’s Bay Park Road (19.8 km) at 9:02 p.m. Runners will not be allowed to continue into the park. U-turn runners westbound on the Martin Goodman Trail
– Southbound on Ashbridge’s Bay Park trail
– U-turn on Ashbridge’s Bay Park trail most southerly point
– Northbound on Ashbridge’s Bay Park trail
– Westbound on Martin Goodman Trail
– Southbound on Leslie Street (Off roadway – Utilize Martin Goodman Trail)
– Westbound on Commissioners Street, westbound curb lane only
– Northbound on Logan Avenue
– Finish line on Logan Avenue

The event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
