The 5th Annual J.U.i.C.E. Hip Hop Dance Festival takes the stage at the Ford Amphitheatre in an evening celebrating the talented young dancers of the local hip-hop scene. As usual, the festival will feature a wide range of street dance styles and performers both local and out-of-town, as well as spoken word, graffiti art, film and live DJing. This year also includes the introduction of J.U.i.C.E’s new program called “Each One Teach One.” This dance and mentorship program for high school students and young adults gives at-risk youth a creative outlet, teaching them how to choreograph and perform as well as produce a formal dance event. Fifteen members of the program, representing various local high schools, will perform an original piece they choreographed themselves.
