City Garage’s production designer/writer Charles A. Duncombe, winner of multiple LA Weekly Theater Awards, unveils a new work that finds a pair of naked people on display in a cage. They’re studied by various visitors, who argue openly, wondering whether the two are able to feel emotion, what their appearance signifies, how it reflects on the viewers themselves, and what it means to watch and be watched. This world-premiere drama from the 25-year-old City Garage theater company is staged at their new T1 space at Bergamot Station.
