Salome Jens’ distinguished six-decade career has ranged from Broadway to film and television, with famed roles in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and 2011’s The Green Lantern. Now she’ll star in the debut of a new play by award-winner Donald Freed, that tells the story of an ambitious young ingenue, who asks a legendary 100-year-old theater actress to help her prepare for a major production of Macbeth. Freed’s works include the politically-charged Inquest, about the Julius and Ethel Rosenberg trial, and Devil’s Advocate, set around the U.S. invasion of Panama.
