Postmodern, avant-garde cabaret celebrating the legacy of Kurt Vonnegut. Created by composer Scott Good and singer/lyricist Dwight Schenk, this production features a 13-piece Slaughterhouse Orchestra. Ranging in styles from classical to jazz, rock to afro-cuban, avant-garde to country, these ten new songs pay tribute to one of the most influential writers of the 20th century, Kurt Vonnegut. Dubbed as a cross between Henri Mancini, Diamanda Galas, and Captain Beefheart, the songs explore various Vonnegut novels, such as Cat’s Cradle, Breakfast of Champions, Hocus Pocus, Slaughterhouse Five, and others. $25.
