FANTASIA RISING by Rebecca Fin Simonetti HUNTCLUB (a multidisciplinary studio and gallery space in Torontos Little Italy located at 709 College Street West) is excited to present work by Rebecca Fin Simonetti. FANTASIA RISING features Fins recent drawings, sculptures and installation works, which deal with themes of girlhood and cultural fantasies. For the first time, Fin will be displaying Part of Your World – a video installation showing the artist performing a song from Walt Disneys The Little Mermaid to Chinese factory workers. On opening night, Fin will unveil a large time-based installation, World Noise Butterfly (2013) – in which a mountain of Adderall and eye shadow is dissolved in fountain of psychedelic trash. Installed alongside Fins works on paper, FANTASIA RISING is an invitation into a visceral and intimate world defined by fantasy and ambiguity. Rebecca Fin Simonetti is Toronto based artist, musician and traveler. She holds a BFA from OCAD University and is represented by LE. rebeccafin.com The opening reception is October 31, 2013, from 7pm – 11pm and will remain on exhibition from 1 pm – 7 pm on weekdays until November 17.
