Grammy-winning artist Jimmy Webb and vocalist Maureen McGovern (a.k.a. “The Stradivarius Voice”) string together cherished standards and Oscar winners with classic hits from the iconic singers and songwriters of the ’60s and ’70s. Webb has had success in almost every genre of music, from country (“Wichita Lineman,” “The Highwayman”) to pop and disco (“MacArthur Park,” “Up, Up and Away”), and penned hits for artists like Sinatra, Streisand, R.E.M., Linda Ronstadt, The Supremes and countless more. McGovern scored two Oscars for “The Morning After” from The Poseidon Adventure (1972) and “We May Never Love Like This Again” from The Towering Inferno (1974). The New York Times proclaims McGovern as “blessed with a vocal technique second to none” and says that Webb is “at the top of his game.”
