Channeling Twain’s public speaking engagements, where he proved to be a master storyteller and skilled musician, this family friendly and very funny show includes a sing-along of period songs like “Down in the Valley” and “Old-Time Religion,” along with theatrical enactments of beloved stories from The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Twain’s semi-autobiographical travel memoir Roughing It and more. Sutton’s portrayal follows years of research into the writer’s life and works, including Twain’s live performances that formed the roots of modern stand-up comedy.
