Experience the heart-pounding, syncopated rhythms of two of the world’s greatest traditions as the Taiko Center of Los Angeles (TCLA) joins Esencia Flamenca for a performance of music and dance from Japan and Spain. Considered one of the Southland’s top percussion groups, TCLA’s appeared throughout California and Japan and joins with Team Taiko of LAUSD’s Wilmington Skills ESL class for this show. Sarah Parra takes the stage with her Esencia Flamenca ensemble and musicians as well, for a dramatic demonstration of the fiery Spanish dance.
