Verizon Wireless Amphitheater (Irvine, CA)
An all-star collaboration between KISS and Def Leppard has been the subject of rumor and speculation for a long time and it’s finally becoming a reality. The two bands will share the stage at venues across America this summer in support of our military. A portion of the proceeds from the tour will go to support various wounded warrior organizations and military veterans will be hired to work on the tour. These two giants of rock ‘n’ roll hardly need an introduction. With their trademark makeup, the members of KISS are instantly recognizable, as are their many rock anthems, including “Rock and Roll All Nite,” “Detroit Rock City” and many more. They’re known for their incredible live shows and this one should fully live up to that reputation. Def Leppard are very familiar with the stadium rock scene, where their catchy, guitar-driven power rock always drives fans wild with hit singles like “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “Love Bites,” and “Hysteria.” Opening for the bands are Kobra and the Lotus, a Canadian heavy metal band discovered by Gene Simmons and signed to his label. Their lead singer, Kobra Paige, was named one of the top 25 women in hard rock and metal by Metalholic.
