The Drop: Joe Henry

It’s almost easier to ask what three-time Grammy winner Joe Henry hasn’t done. For more than 20 years, he’s produced albums for the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Elvis Costello and Solomon Burke. He’s collaborated with fellow singer-songwriters T Bone Burnett and Daniel Lanois and established firm roots in the jazz world thanks to projects with Ornette Coleman, Don Cherry and Bill Frisell. He’s scored films (Knocked Up, Jesus’ Son) and left his mark on TV — his song “Stars” closed episodes of Six Feet Under. Henry also co-wrote Furious Cool the 2013 biography of legendary comedian Richard Pryor. During his conversation with Grammy Foundation VP Scott Goldman, the artist will reflect on the many hats he’s worn. He’ll also perform tracks from his newest album, Invisible Hour.”
