On October 4th, 2014 Toronto will be taking part in the Global March for Elephants, Rhinos and Lions to draw attention to the crisis facing these three species and to call for an end to the African wildlife trade s pushing them rapidly towards extinction and to demand the Canadian Government’s involvement. In addition, Toronto will be holding a candlelight vigil on Sept 22nd – World Rhino Day – at the Chinese Consulate to honour the animals whose imminent extinction is fueled through trade of their body parts, primarily with Asia.

To date, 114 cities will be marching on Oct. 4th – this will be the biggest international event ever held to save our planet’s vanishing wildlife.
