As part of the Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival, four performers with diverse backgrounds present their varied views on being a woman. Karen A. Clark gives a spoken-word tribute to her family’s loving matriarch. Sariyah Idan combines poetry and dance to tell the story of a young Jewish-American woman’s struggle with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Ada Luz Pla performs an excerpt from her one-woman show, Tracing My Lineage: A Story of a Puerto Rican Spitfire. And Kat Kramer belts out her solo musical, My Duet With Mick, inspired by Mick Jagger.
