As a symbolic gesture of support for those who are currently defending Burnaby Mountain/Unceded Coast Salish Territories against the expansion of an anti-democratic petrol state, members of our department will be sending a photo with a #commitsociology banner message of solidarity.
We realize everyone has a lot on their plate at this time of year, but this should be a quick action! Please feel free to bring your own signs etc., although this is not necessary. Non-sociology friends are obviously welcome to partake.
