Russian National Ballet Theatre: "Don Quixote"

The Russian National Ballet Theatre translates an episode of Miguel de Cervantes’ famous novel Don Quixote into a classical ballet masterpiece. Set to Austrian composer Leon Minkus’ rousing score, the story follows Don Quixote, a middle-aged country gentleman, and his servant Sancho Panza as they travel to Barcelona on a mission: to defend virtue and punish anyone who violates the code of honor. But their adventure takes an unexpected turn once they arrive and Don Quixote mistakes an innkeeper’s daughter for his dream-lover.
