Within 12 days these young social justice activists have made a huge impact! They’ve brought together community, entrepreneurs, artists and victims of abuse to raise awareness about the cause and the innovative healing program at The Gatehouse. They have painted The Gatehouse, sourced carpet donations, planned a huge fund-raiser with donations, created a video and will make a difference by raising awareness about victims of child abuse . They have had challenges with permits, weather, timelines but nothing phased them. They continue to give their time and energy to raise awareness of the statistics, the programs and the facility and have opened dialogue for the need of a similar facility in Peel.
Be prepared and dress warmly, weather permitting, the whole event should be outdoors!
