Ascent of Africa, Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders

During the evening, guests will hear from renowned journalist and bestselling author Sally Armstrong. Sally’s work has taken her to Bosnia, Somalia, Rwanda and Afghanistan, where she has covered the stories of women and children living in zones of conflict. Her stories will leave you feeling inspired and empowered to make a difference.
Beautiful World Canada is a Toronto-based educational humanitarian organization working to increase access to higher education for children in Africa. Beautiful World is currently working in Sierra Leone, Uganda, Rwanda and South Africa to support at-risk youth to complete their high school, university, college or vocational education programs. Students are provided with a comprehensive scholarship package, which includes tuition, school supplies, personal supplies, accommodation, nutritious meals, safe transportation and mentoring and counselling.
